I have been smoking ... I have been smoking marijuana regularly for over 48 years. It does not appear to have done much damage to me. Suppress? my immune system? Bulls**t and I don't care that this man is a retired professor of pharmacology. I disagree with some other assertions that were made regarding brain function and coordination. If you smoke so much that you cannot function then you are literally abusing this drug. There is a big difference between "getting high" and outright abuse.
